Born in Skipton, North Yorkshire on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.

I had a childhood of walking and enjoying the countryside with my parents who introduced me to the views, wildlife and fauna. I developed a creative side, photographing and sketching all.

 

At the end of my education I enjoyed the outdoors even more as

I started climbing and potholing and exploring more of the United Kingdom.

​

After training as a Technical Illustrator I moved to Derbyshire. My passion for the outdoors and photography developed further.

​

I have used the media of photography to investigate other areas of interest, motorsport, railways and travel. The development of subject matter has allowed me the great pleasure of being commissioned for promotional commissions. I was fortunate to have one of my images chosen for the front cover of the Yorkshire Dales National Park's visitor newspaper.

I am an active member of a photography club in Derby where I have gained a passion for competition and exhibition photography.

I have gained CPAGB BPE4* distinctions for accepted images into photographic exhibitions in the UK.
